Ontario Freshwater Learning Network
Overview
The Ontario Freshwater Learning Network gathered current and emerging Ontario Freshwater ENGO leaders to focus on a particular capacity building theme. The theme for session one was resource capacity and fundraising and the second session focused on communications. The theme for session three was strategic planning for uncertain times.
Each Ontario Freshwater Learning Network provided space in which interested ENGO leaders explored critical issues and generated ideas and approaches on how to respond to them. The program drew heavily on the experience and knowledge of the participants and provided various thinking tools, speakers and content experts. A key requisite of the program was nesting the learning back into the culture and practice of their particular organization. This was facilitated through small stipends that were either used individually or pooled.
