Our Staff
PAUL BUBELIS
Paul Bubelis is the Executive Director of the Sustainability Network which he co-founded in 1997. He sits on the board of the HR Council for the Nonprofit Sector and on advisory committees for Ryerson’s Certificate in Sustainability Program, Green Living Enterprises and the Ontario Nonprofit
Network. He judges Earth Day Canada's Hometown Heroes Award, the City of Toronto's Green Awards and participates in Evergreen's Mentor Program. Prior to his work at Sustainability Network, he served as Executive Director of the Ontario Environment Network and spent 5 years at Environment Canada managing a community funding program. He has also consulted to grantmakers, government and NGOs. Paul obtained a biology degree from the University of
Guelph, attended the University of Victoria and has a MSc from the University of Toronto.
VICTOR REYES
Victor Reyes is the Program Manager of the Sustainability Network. For the past three years, he has been working with seasoned environmentalists and First Nations to ensure that the Boreal Learning Network continues to be a success. He has also recently taken the lead of the organization's Environment and Diversity Project. Victor previously worked for the Canadian Land Trust Alliance and the Ontario Land Trust Alliance. He has a Master of Engineering Science degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia, and while living down under, he taught school kids at the Melbourne Aquarium and volunteered for the Victorian Cetacean Stranding Network, rescuing beached marine mammals. He also worked as Project Manager for the WWF in the Philippines, and had the challenging task of balancing socio-economic issues in a developing country with the need to protect and preserve its marine resources.
SONIA DONG
Sonia Dong is our Diversity Project Manager. She has ten years of experience working in the environmental non-profit sector, including positions with EcoSpark (formerly Citizens' Environment Watch) and Environmental Defence. Sonia is passionate about building long-term capacity in the environmental sector and is also a co-leader for Young Conservation Professionals, a development program for emerging environmental leaders. She is a Director of Greenest City and the North York Seniors Centre, and a participant in the Maytree Foundation’s DiverseCity on Board and Voices programs. Sonia holds a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Waterloo and a post-graduate certificate in Environmental Control from Sheridan College.
Sonia is on maternity leave until August, 2012.

VICKI FAUL
Vicki Faul is our Accountant. She has spent many years working in the charitable sector with financial management experience at Sketch, St. Andrew's United Church, Energy Probe, the Conservation Council of Ontario, and the Ontario Council for International Coopreation. Vicki studied at both Seneca and Centennial Colleges and has volunteered for a number of charities including Second Harvest, the World Wildlif Fund and the Canadian Red Cross. She is passionate about environmental issues.

CANDY FAN
Candy Fan is our Program Coordinator. She joined the Network as a volunteer. She has a bachelor degree in Environmental Resources and Management from the University of Toronto. Candy is passionate in making positive and long-lasting changes to the environment and building a more sustainable future. She also enjoys working with children and shares her knowledge in a fun and meaningful way.
