On September 17, 2009, the Sustainability Network and the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation put together a webinar, Art Not Science: Public Policy 101. Patrick Johnston, Senior Fellow - Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation, & Fellow - Mowat Centre for Policy Innovation School of Public Policy and Governance University of Toronto, discussed key elements of the public policy process in Canada, including the public policy toolkit, key influencers, common mistakes, and effective strategies for those seeking to promote policy change. Patrick also illustrated the policy process with stories derived from his extensive experience with governments, non-profit organizations and the philanthropic sector.
